Inflatable SUPs currently on the market rely on a low-quality construction that lacks reinforcement – including thin materials and glued seams – leading to bending and deformation under stress, especially in the middle of the board. This is known as the “taco effect,” when the board becomes concave under the paddler, leading to drag, air leakage, and other performance issues.

Uniquely, the Pioneer Pro features ISLE’s exclusive InfinityFiber and PowerFuse welded rail technology. InfinityFiber, a high-performance composite material, is featured on the curves, deck, and hull of the Pioneer Pro. When inflated, InfinityFiber makes the Pioneer Pro 3x more rigid than traditional inflatables, improving the durability, glide, and performance of the board – eliminating the “taco effect” when under pressure or multiple paddlers. Thus, the Pioneer Pro can carry a greater capacity limit and provide the stability of a composite epoxy board. This high-performing construction is currently being used by the US Navy and NASA.

PowerFuse technology mechanically bonds the top, deck, and hull of the board into one solid piece – which eliminates the potential for air leakage, thereby extending the useful lifespan of the board. Due to its distinctive technology and upgrades, ISLE has extended the Pioneer Pro’s warranty to 5 years, when the average warranty for inflatable boards is 1-3 years. 

Additionally, the Pioneer Pro features a proprietary, integrated webbing system, coined, “ISLE-Link,” that allows paddlers to attach an ergonomic seat and footrest for a sit-on-top solo or tandem kayak experience. Paddlers can convert from SUP to kayak in seconds on the water. The versatile board weighs 50% less than traditional rigid kayaks and can be rolled up to transport or store anywhere.
