The Sorba River, a crystal-clear torrent flowing through the mountains of Valsesia and the village of Rassa, has been at the center of a 15-year fight against a hydroelectric project that would permanently alter the river and the surrounding landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to years of resistance from local paddlers, residents, and environmental organizations, the original project has already been significantly reduced. But after a recent court decision in Cassation, the fight is not over.
