The Powerslide’s slalom-influenced stern, with its low-rocker profile, propels you downstream, upstream, and through ferries and bank eddy turns at high speed. A subtle kick rocker just behind the seat allows you to carve through S turns and across currents, effortlessly sliding onto glassy, catch-on-the-fly waves. That’s where the chines come in, offering a silky, carving, deliciously loose feel. Like many modern slalom boats, we’ve cut the stern low for quick, easy pivots during downstream manoeuvres, while also allowing the bow to lift into tall stern stalls and splats.
We narrowed the middle of the Powerslide to maintain glide through the water. This slenderness gives the cockpit a comfortable yet performance-oriented snug fit, letting you easily transition from edge to edge while carving around. The flat, wide, hard-chined hull keeps the boat up and spinning on the surface. And, as with all modern boats, we added a generous amount of bow rocker to ensure you easily pop out of drops and skip downstream.
By blending the speed and manoeuvrability of modern slalom kayaks with a playful planing hull and modern bow rocker, we’ve created a boat that empowers you to redefine how you paddle rivers.
