THE BEST PADDLE SPORTS FILMS!

On October 2, 2026, the Paddle Sports Show Film Festival, held as part of the Paddle Sports Show in Strasbourg, will present some of the most exciting and inspiring paddle sports films of 2026.

With “I FOLLOW RIVERS”, we dive straight into the world of extreme whitewater kayaking. The film follows Norwegian Mariann Sæther – mother of two and two-time Extreme Kayaking World Champion – and offers a personal insight into a life driven by passion, balancing extreme sports, family and partnership.

TAKE A SEAT” is pure Waveski passion: spectacular footage, big waves and moving stories capture the full excitement and fascination of this unique paddle sports discipline. The film follows nine of the world’s best riders on an unforgettable journey through Indonesia, surfing the best spots in Sumatra and the Mentawai Islands, as well as the infamous Bono River tidal bore. Spectacular!

Another highlight is a WORLD PREMIERE: CROSSING THE ENGLISH CHANNEL BY PADDLE FOIL – 192 KM IN 8H08!

Erwann Jauffroy flies and paddles 192 kilometres across the English Channel in just 8 hours and 8 minutes on a paddle foil. A story of endurance, determination and the drive to keep pushing the limits of what is possible.

In addition, the festival will feature a selection of spectacular short films from different areas of paddle sports – featuring extraordinary athletes, inspiring stories and plenty of action on the water.

Festival directors Philippe Doux and Olaf Obsommer – better known as Big-O – have put together a diverse programme combining spectacular imagery, extraordinary people and inspiring stories from the international paddling community.

The film programme itself runs for approximately 240 minutes. With breaks and live interviews with filmmakers and athletes, the festival will be an evening for everyone who shares a passion for water, adventure and extraordinary stories.
