The Prijon PR-X seating system sets new standards in terms of comfort and light weight! It significantly reduces the overall weight of the boat and gives you a great paddling experience without compromises. These instructions guide you through the perfect adjustment of the PR-X seat system to your needs. During the development we placed importance to the ergonomics of the seat and perfectly matched the seat angle with the position and alignment of the thigh braces and the leg angle.
The centerpiece is the superlight foam seat, weighing only 200g! It cushions all hits, is antiskid, weighs little and conveys a direct feeling for the kayak together with the bottom rail.
This superlight and precisely shaped seat system is a safe support, let’s you sit comfortably, keeps you warm on cold days and does not absorb water. You can easily reposition it in a few simple steps. A mark on the bottom rail supports you during finding you optimal seating position. The form-fit both with the lateral foam wedges and the bottom rail guarantees a secure hold of the seat in the boat.
NEW UPGRADE IN 2025: The PR-X foam seat is available in different heights!
You can easily exchange the seat mounted in your kayak against a higher or lower one. These seat heights are separately available as an upgrade:
- Highest seat: 5 cm high
- Standard BEAST: 4 cm high
- Standard RIZZ + PIKE: 3 cm high
- Lowest seat: 2 cm high
The padded back rest can be adjusted with ratchets and optimally supports your torso.
NEW UPGRADE IN 2025: the back rest can be positioned in three different heights!
On the backside of the back rest is the fixation of the allen key, with which you can adjust the thigh braces. The Mounting of it is now reinforced and serves as new fastening point of a rubber band, that is connected to the floor rail. With the tow already existing existing rubber bands it is now possible to combine all three mountings, to achieve the middle position. Unhooking the two upper rubber bands, the backrest is in the lowest position. Unhooking the “bottom rail rubber band” leads to highest postion.
In combination of these two upgrades, everyone can adjust the PR-X seating for it’s body geometry. Maximum lateral hold to prevent you from shifting and a best possible support of your power transmission is provided by the large hip pads. A maximum of contact and comfort is offered by the optimized 3-D thigh braces. These are now even lighter, offer more space in the boat, as the leg position is less stretched, and give you a great paddling experience without compromise.
NEW UPGRADE IN 2025: improved fastenings for the PR-X Floor rail!
This injection-molded floor rail with fiberglass reinforcement is now fastened with three friction weld nuts to the bottom hull. Together with the foam domes in front and rear, that are fixed to the top of the hull and the bottom rail it additionally reinforces the robust HTP hull. The front dome is made out of laminated foam, that combines highest stability and low weight. Together with the additionally reinforced mountings and the flat shape, it offers a stable and secure footing in case of an emergency exit.
In addition, a notch in the front foam dome supports you when carrying the kayak on your shoulder. To keep the front dome “clear” for an emergency exit, the throwbag can be fixed on the Bottom rail, the first-aid-kit and the drinking bottle can be attached on to loops behind the seat. You can adjust both the length of the aluminum footplate with foam padding, by using the lateral bolting, as well as the width of the plate, to adapt it to your needs and the width of the kayak.The PR-X seat system is available as a standard in the models “BEAST“, “PARTY PIKE” and “PIKE“.
With these new upgrades the PR-X Seating System combines the highest versatility in adjustment options on the market by using simple, but clever solutions that lead to an ergonomic and light weight seating system.
