One of the biggest problems we face as an industry is the prevalence of canoes and kayaks on the market which are long past their best, but to the uninitiated, and thanks to them often being sold at a price which is hard to say no to, appear to be the obvious choice for getting started in the sport, and yet often provide such an ill-fitting, uninspiring, and frequently downright dangerous introduction that it ends their participation before it even truly begins.

Championing an eyes-wide-open approach to the appropriate use of these canoes and kayaks, and providing guidance on and facilitating proper recycling of end of life plastic canoes and kayaks is something we’ve spent considerable time doing over the last few years. If not brands like ourselves who are invested in the sport enough as to be present at The Paddle Sports Show, then who?
